Flint, MI – The Flint Farmers’ Market has once again been recognized as one of the premiere public markets in America!   According to USA Today, the Flint Farmers’ Market has been selected as one of 10 top public markets in the country.  The Flint market is in very impressive company with other winning markets in some of the top tourist cities in America.

Nominees were chosen by a panel of relevant experts which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY; editors from 10Best.com; relevant expert contributors; and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. After 4 weeks of voting, the contest closed on April 12th. Rules allowed the public the right to vote online for one nominee per day. All voting was digital and the 10Best Readers’ Choice Award contest is accessible on the 10Best.com website.

The Flint Farmers’ Market has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s.  Today it is situated in the heart of downtown Flint with more than 45 vendors indoor year-round and another 45 outside from May to October in the HAP pavilion. Additionally, it houses the ELGA Credit Union Demonstration Kitchen, two incubator – entrepreneurial kitchens through the Flint Food Works Program and multiple event spaces that are utilized for both public and private events.
