Celebrate the Season at the Farmers Market!

This month, we’re spotlighting all the delicious ways you can cook it, plus sharing a few Thanksgiving ideas and what’s ahead for Small Business Saturday.

As the weather cools and the holidays settle in, the market is bursting with the flavors of the season— especially squash, savory cabbage, red cabbage, leeks, collards, cauliflower, romanesco & more!

Squash Spotlight: Your Fall Kitchen Hero

Squash is one of the most versatile fall ingredients. It’s hearty, naturally sweet, and packed with vitamins A + C, perfect for cozy meals this season.

  1. Roast It
Cut in half, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt + pepper, and roast at 400°F until fork-tender. Perfect for: salads, sides, purees, grain bowls.
  2. Make It Sweet
Brush with butter, cinnamon, and a touch of maple syrup. Perfect for: holiday spreads, breakfast, or dessert.
  3. Turn It Into Soup
Blend roasted squash with sautéed onions, garlic, and broth for a creamy (dairy-optional) soup.
  4. Stuff It
Fill roasted acorn or delicata squash with wild rice, sausage, cranberries, or chickpeas.
  5. Use It as “Pasta”
Roast spaghetti squash and scrape into strands. Top with pesto, marinara, or roasted veggies.
